Isthatallyagot used a strong stretch rally to upset in Monday’s $130,000 Ontario Sires Stakes Gold Series final for two-year-old trotting fillies

at Mohawk Racetrack in 1:56.2.

Anthony MacDonald engineered the victory with the daughter of Southwind Lustre-Zorgwijk Davita who sat off hot early fractions of :27.2, :56.2 and 1:26.3 which were supplied by race favourite Wilsonator.

As the field turned for home, Isthatallyagot, who had been following stablemate Rebelious Royalty, had worked up into a perfect striking position. When MacDonald tipped his filly three-wide and asked her for trot she responded by kicking on to a comfortable victory.

Ruling Class, who was one of three elimination winners a week ago, was bottled up in the pocket until the late stages but did shake loose to edge out Wilsonator for the place spot. The winner returned $18.00 for the win.

It was the second victory in four seasonal outings for Isthatallyagot who was a $2,400 yearling purchase at last Fall’s Standardbred Canada Mixed Sale by owner Terry Hunter of Ayr, Ontario. With the win, the James MacDonald trainee elevated her seasonal earnings to just over $83,000.
