The betting public was all over Audreys Dream in Monday afternoon’s $10,000 Open Handicap Pace at Century Downs, and the veteran didn’t let down his pari-mutuel supporters.
Audreys Dream shot to the top from Post 5, and he made every call a winning one for co-owner/driver Ed Hensley. The led the group through panels of :28.1, :57 and 1:25 before kicking home in :27.4 to win by 2-3/4 lengths over Get Thereovernight in 1:52.4. Nobettorplacetobe nabbed the show dough in the five-horse affair.
Ashleigh Hensley of Pompano Beach, FL co-owns and trains the eight-year-old son of Rocknroll Hanover-Belovedangel. It was the tenth straight score for the 34-time winner. He improved this year’s record to 10-3-1 from 14 starts while pushing his lifetime earnings to $415,048.
