Scott Forward enjoyed another solid day at the office at St. John’s Raceway on Sunday afternoon thanks to a three-win performance
. The training triple bumped his win total to 21 on the season at the Newfoundland half-miler, and that’s tops among the track’s leading conditioners.
Forward got the ball rolling in Race 4 with Cappuccino Dawn, who rallied to win in 2:06.3 for driver Robert Forward, Jr. Shane Forward then guided the Scott Forward-trained Even Winds Obey to a 2:06 tally in the very next race, and that duo returned to take Race 8 with Treasure Me Flurry in 2:04.3.
Horses trained by Scott Forward, who is now a 263-time winner in his career, have banked in excess of $94,000 to date.
