Rooney started the night with a win in the opener aboard the maiden-breaking five-year-old mare Mystery Midnight ($12.60) for the Kris Haskell stable. He later won back-to-back races starting in the fourth with 11-year-old pacer Justalittleluck ($11.30) for trainer Dennis Morrissey and the Jerry Sims-trained mare Addicted To Love ($3.30). Rooney also drove Keith Cullen's 11-year-old pacer Evening Job ($3.90) to an eighth race triumph followed by a win with Bill Hamm's homebred mare Insincerity ($4) in the ninth.
