The winning streak is now two-in-a-row and counting for Intended Royalty thanks to his front-stepping triumph in Wednesday’s $1,250 winners over pace at Inverness Raceway.
Intended Royalty powered to the lead from Post 3 for driver Redmond Doucet, and together the led the group through fractions of :29.1, :59.1 and 1:29.2. A :28.2 closing quarter earned the veteran the win by 3-1/2 lengths over HF Jesse James. Eastcoast Invader was third.
Trainer Randy Copley co-owns the 10-year-old son of No Pan Intended-Renees Queen with partner Edward Copley of Inverness, NS. The 51-time winner recently surpassed $130,000 in lifetime earnings.
