Dial A Chic had trouble staying flat last year in several attempts at qualifying, but this year the three-year-old trotter has put it all together since the addition of trotting hopples.
The Vern Beachy trainee moved his career record to 3-for-3 on Thursday afternoon at Saratoga Casino Hotel thanks to a 1:58.3 score.
Dial A Chic broke his maiden in his lifetime debut at the Spa on July 1st and wasted no time repeating as he trotted to a first over-score at Goshen just two days later in the Excelsior Series B. On Thursday, Dial A Chic was the race’s 3-5 favourite as driver Billy Dobson brushed him up heading to the half in the $8,000 race for New York Sired trotters. Once Dial A Chic got to the top, there was no looking back as the young trotter cruised out to win by five and a half lengths.
Live racing continues on Friday evening at Saratoga with first post time set for 6:45 p.m.
