Schooner went from last to first in a compact field of five to win Inverness Raceway's feature race on Sunday afternoon.
Alex MacQuarrie steered the six-year-old pacer to the 2:00.4 victory in the $1,200 Winners Over event for local trainer and owner Anthony Beaton. Finishing over two lengths behind in second and third were Bonnys Mac and favourite Junebugs Baby.
The win was Schooner's fifth in 12 seasonal starts and first at Inverness this year.
