
JK Black Gold and Tyler Miller captured the featured $17,568 pace on Sunday, July 6 at Tioga Downs.
JK Black Gold (pictured above) darted straight to the front, leading the field to the :27 quarter. With a :28.2 second quarter, he continued to lead to the half in :55.2. Orlando Blue A (Mike Merton) came first over to challenge the leader, but JK Black Gold maintained control and clicked the three quarters in 1:22.3. As the field reached the stretch, JK Black Gold found another gear and won easily in 1:50.4. Sea Of Life (Ridge Warren) sprinted home to take second and Orlando Blue A rounded out the ticket for show.
Trained by Jeff Cullipher for Pollack Racing, the five-year-old gelded son of JK Endofanera won his fourth race of the season and 14th career race. JK Black Gold paid $7.20 to win.
Miller and Cullipher combined for a triple on the card.
Braxten Boyd scored four driving wins on the card with Hardball Hanover, Livonjaxandqueens, Bad Boy Too and Madden Oaks. That 2025 Pepsi North America Cup runner-up tuned up for his Meadowlands Pace test on Saturday, July 12 with a 1:51.3 tally over conditioned company.
Tioga Downs returns to live racing on Friday, July 11, with a post time of 6:15 p.m.
