One of five winning drives on the 12-race card for Ronnie Wrenn Jr., Bet On Zette ($11.40) overcame a brutal opening panel to collect her fourth straight victory in Wednesday’s co-feature at The Meadows, a $12,100 conditioned pace.

Bet On Zette (pictured above) was parked from post seven in that :26.3 first quarter before crossing over for Wrenn Jr. The four-year-old son of Bettors Delight-Friskie Beauty had more than enough in the tank to repel the outside challengers and hold off the Lightning Lane bid of Lyons Lou by a half-length in a career-best 1:51. Els Rocker completed the ticket. Ron Burke trains Bet On Zette for No Recall Stable.

Speaking of winning four straight, that’s also what Aston Hill Dave ($5.60) did In Wednesday’s companion feature, a $12,100 conditioned pace. After squeezing into the pocket near the half, the nine-year-old Sportswriter-Precious Katie gelding out-kicked Seeyou At The Beach for Dave Palone and downed him by a head in 1:50. Brandon Presto trains and Ameer Najor owns Aston Hill Dave.

The hot-handed Wrenn also won with the Burke-trained Heavens Fury ($3) as well as Hillbilly Kisses ($5.20) for trainer Charles Myers, Medoland Scarlett ($3.80) for David Zito and Happy Heston ($5.60) for Lou Goans.

Presto enjoyed a training triple, also sending out upset winner Miss Imprint ($53.40), driven by Brian Zendt, and Miss Lucy ($4.80), with Aaron Merriman between the wheels.

Live harness racing at The Meadows continues on Thursday when the 13-race program features a $1,031.47 carryover in the Early Pentafecta (Race 4). First post is 12:45 p.m.
