With three-time defending champion Euchred not entered for a second go this week in Inverness Raceway's top Winners Over class, Intended Royalty stole the spotlight with an 11-1/2 length victory on Wednesday evening (July 5).

A runner-up to Euchred in the past three top class events at Inverness, including Monday's affair, Intended Royalty was back in to go on Wednesday and stole the show in the $1,000 seventh race feature with driver Redmond Doucet along for the 1:57 ride. Local trainer Randy Copley shares ownership of the six-year-old No Pan Intended gelding with Edward Copley.

Sent postward as the favourite, Intended Royalty paid $2.90 to win. Unstoppable Speed (Shelby Miller) and Havana Dream (Alex MacQuarrie) rounded out the top three finish order.

A recent newcomer to Inverness, Intended Royalty now has three wins to go along with his three second-place finishes from six starts since arriving in Nova Scotia in June. The win was his 15th lifetime and gives him a total bankroll of $89,001.
