'Vixen' Victorious In Georgian Preferred

Brushing to the lead past the quarter, Outlaw Imahotvixen took control and fended off a first-over challenge from Pretty Hot to win the $11,500 Fillies and Mares Preferred 2 Pace at Georgian Downs on Tuesday, July 31.

Cut And Paste posted the first quarter in :27.4 leading Outlaw Imahotvixen into the stretch first time. Driver Travis Cullen pulled the Jodie Cullen trainee moving through the stretch first time and cleared control moving to the half. Pretty Hot, sitting fourth, tracked her move and was caught first over by the half in :57.3.

Pretty Hot drew within a length of the front heading to three-quarters, which Outlaw Imahotvixen passed in 1:25.3 before opening a one-and-a-half length lead turning into the stretch. Pretty Hot battled for second wide of pocket-sitter Cut And Paste, who finished third, as Outlaw Imahotvixen crossed the wire two lengths in front.

Owned by Jodie and Ronald Cullen, Outlaw Imahotvixen, a four-year-old mare by Blue Burner from the Richess Hanover mare Fox Valley Cherish, won her fourth race in eight starts this season and her 11th in 43 overall, earning $102,048. She paid $7.00 to win.
