Another tradition continues in the province of New Brunswick this weekend, with an Old Home Week card of racing in Woodstock, New Brunswick.
This is the only date scheduled for the half-mile oval this season, and this year's top-class has some major stars in the field.
Sponsored by Corey Ford of Woodstock, the event is in memory of Kelti Burnett and will carry a purse of $4,000.
One of the best known stables is the powerful Whebby Stable of Nova Scotia, and it has shipped the speedy Nakai Hanover in for Friday's card. He has won in 1:55.1 this year at Truro Raceway and was a Governor's Plate finalist.
Other starters in the field include American Captain, Manraysonjo, Golden Vanity and the New Brunswick-owned Joseph Michael.
Purse money was increased an average of $300 per race for Friday night's card, and Horse Racing New Brunswick would like to thank all horsemen, sponsors, and contributors to this weeks program.
Post time goes at 7:00 p.m. at Connell Park in Woodstock.
