The Quebec Jockey Club opened its second off-track betting parlour on Monday at the former HippoClub in Boucherville, just south of Montreal.
The first opened a month ago at Place Dupuis in downtown Montreal.
“Place Dupuis has been very positive and beyond expectations,” said Tony Infilise, president of the Jockey Club. “We’re on track.”
The next planned location, in east-end Montreal at Pointe-aux-Trembles, is expected to open in August. Quebec City and Laval will follow.
The Jockey Club will inaugurate its first live meet at the newly-acquired Hippodrome Trois-Rivieres on Sept. 9.
