Historic Connell Park Raceway in Woodstock, New Brunswick, will play host to an impressive group of Atlantic Sires Stakes trotters on Monday, August 2.

A total of 21 three-year-old trotters will compete in three divisions, each going for a purse of $6,840. Meanwhile, the two-year-old trotters will go in a pair of divisions for a purse pool of $9,440 apiece.

Both the two and three-year-old current point leaders, Maple Leaf Spirit and B J Eldorado, will travel to New Brunswick to defend their leads.

First-race post time in Woodstock is 1:00 p.m.

Following Monday’s race card, ATSS action moves on to Inverness Raceway on August 8 and 11 when both the two and three-year-old pacing fillies meet for competition.

Points accumulated in each ATSS 'A' division and trot event goes towards earning entry into the season-ending Atlantic Breeders Crown Championships. This year Truro Raceway will host the premier harness racing event. The Weekend Festival of Racing will take place October 8, 9 and 10 and will include the ATSS championships and consolations, as well as invitational races and the Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition Select Yearling Sale.
