Team Cullen Wins Four At Grand River

Travis Cullen drove four Jodie Cullen trainees to victory on the Monday evening (July 3) card at Grand River Raceway.

In the nightcap, Totally Rigged posted the fastest time of the four Cullen trainees. The three-year-old filly controlled the tempo in :27.1, :56.1 and 1:24.4 before facing a challenge from Steel Beauty (Brett MacDonald) in the stretch. Totally Rigged prevailed by a neck in 1:54.2 for owners A1stable and Keith Hannah. Cheddars Delight (Austin Sorrie) rounded out the top three.

T H Jackies Legacy also took a gate-to-wire approach to win the opener by a head in 1:58.4 for owners Travis Cullen, Ronald Cullen and Blair Kidd. Too Easy (Dennis Duford) was second and Queen Of The Deck (Lorne House) finished third.

In the second race, Lets Tie One On got away seventh at the quarter in :27.1 before following a second-over trip behind Rose Run Vortex (Paul MacKenzie) through the half in :56.4 and three-quarters in 1:25.3. Lets Tie One On bested his foes in the stretch to win by 1-1/4 lengths in 1:55.1. Rose Run Vortex was second and Better Be Gouda (Travis Henry) completed the triactor. Travis Cullen co-owns Lets Tie One On with Paul Sanders.

Redneck Jim completed the quartet of wins for the Cullens by following the pocket trip behind Examiner Hanover (Tyler Moore) through panels in :27.1, :57 and 1:25.4 before cruising to a two-length victory in 1:54.3. Hello Rocky (J Harris) finished second and Examiner Hanover was third. Paul Sanders owns Redneck Jim.
