You’ve heard the voice, but have you ever met the man? Roger Huston, harness racing’s living legend in the announcer’s booth, will be making a visit to a handful of Ontario tracks this summer.
Trot Insider has learned that Huston, who has called more than 176,000 races over the course of his career, will be at Grand River Raceway on Friday, August 17 before heading over to Hanover Raceway on Saturday, August 18. ‘The Voice’ will cap off the weekend by heading to Leamington Raceway on Sunday, August 19.
Huston will be calling several races at each of the three tracks, as well as taking part in meet and greets, which will include free autograph opportunities.
Huston, The Meadows’ regular track announcer who is known for his booming and boisterous race descriptions, called his 50th Little Brown Jug last fall.
