Open Pace Finishes In Dead Heat

Cabo Real and Toucam Sam dead heated in the $1,800 Open Pace as the Manitoba Great Western Harness Racing Circuit concluded its first weekend at Morris on Sunday, July 3.

The two pacers hit the wire together in 2:03 with Cabo Real setting the pace and Toucam Sam pouncing from the pocket to get up in the final strides.

Cabo Real, a six-year-old Somebeachsomewhere gelding out of the Camtastic mare Witchcraft, is owned and trained by Trevor Williams, and was driven by Don Howlett.

Toucam Sam, a 13-year-old Cams Card Shark horse out of the Western Hanover mare Arizona Yankee, is owned, trained, and driven by Jacques Lambert.

Cabo Real and Toucam Sam each paid $2.30 to win. Cabo Real was one of four winners on the afternoon for Williams, with his others being Cruzininmyjamys ($3.20), Good Chemistry ($3.10), and Burn The House ($4.90).
