Having won every major race in his home of Sweden, top trotting horseman Åke Svanstedt will make the move to the United States later this year.

Reports out of Sweden indicate that Svanstedt, 55, will relocate to the Palema Trotting Center in Vero Beach, Fla. sometime around November.

“I suppose to drive up to the Breeders Crown Finals in Eskilstuna the first weekend in November if we have enough horses left then,” Svanstedt told ATG.se.

The nation's top trainer, Svanstedt has more than 200 horses in training right now including top open class trotter and Sweden's Horse of the Year from 2012, Sebastian K.

"I hope we get the horses so that we can survive and train and compete there,” he told Travronden. "It'll be fun to try to train young horses there. I do not want to be one of the crowd; obviously I want to achieve success.”

Since becoming a trainer in 1983, Svanstedt has earned more than SEK 500 million - or in U.S. dollars, more than $74.3 million - and is one of just a few Swedish drivers to win more than 6,000 races.
