More Preps For NA Cup Eligibles

Trot Insider continues to track the contenders and eligibles as they prepare for the 2020 Pepsi North America Cup three weeks out from elimination weekend.

This year's edition of the $1 million Pepsi North America Cup will take place on Saturday, Aug. 29 at Woodbine Mohawk Park. The eliminations will be held a week prior.

For the past several years, Trot Magazine's Pepsi North America Cup Spring Book has served as an initial barometer for the colts and geldings that may be in the running for the sophomore pacing set's single biggest payday. As in past years, the Spring Book appeared in the April issue of Trot.

The complexion of the 2020 Pepsi North America Cup has changed drastically with the injury to TROT Magazine Spring Book favourite Papi Rob Hanover, who has been sidelined indefinitely with a coffin bone stress fracture.

A number of the major contenders for the 2020 Pepsi North America Cup will be active this weekend in stakes events south of the border. Indiana Sires Stakes action is slated for Harrah's Hoosier Park on July 31, the 2020 Delvin Miller Adios Final takes place on Saturday (August 1) at The Meadows, while The Meadowlands hosts the Tompkins Geers.
