The bench was deep for the $2,500 Preferred Pace at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at Charlottetown Driving Park on Saturday, July 28 with Rose Run Quest coming out on top in 1:54.4.

Marc Campbell was in the bike behind the Bo Ford trainee as he used a first-over brush to gain control of the race at the half-mile marker and continued to a five-length victory over Czar Seelster rallying for second with Cartoon Daddy completing the triactor. With three-straight wins to his credit, Rose Run Quest is owned by Blair Hansen of Charlottetown.

Campbell and Ford clicked for a total of three visits to the winner’s circle on the 14-dash card as they scored with Elm Grove Kaboom in 1:54.4 and Pure Friendship in 1:59.4. Campbell also won with Mach Of Ballykeel in 1:58.1 to give him four winners on the program as a driver.

The combination of driver Adam Merner and trainer Melissa Rennie teamed up for two wins on the program as Revenant delivered as the post-time favourite in 1:56.2 and All Out romped by 13-lengths to win in 1:56.1. Merner also hit the wire first with Fly With Max stopping the clock in 1:58.3 for trainer Mark Bradley to complete his driving hat trick.

Veteran reinsman Kenny Arsenault had three winners on the Saturday card as he opened the program winning with Fiftyshadesofgraci in 1:59.4 for trainer Garth Cole and closed the program with Three Truths in 1:56.4 for Paul Doyle. Arsenault’s other victory was with Private Di in 1:58.1 from his own stable.
