Driver Jason Hughes capped off a five-win night at Charlottetown Driving Park with a victory aboard his own trainee Leading Camdidate in Saturday's featured $2,200 Preferred Pace.

The five-year-old Camluck gelding, owned by Donald MacRae of Vernon Bridge, P.E.I., prevailed in 1:55.1 by one and a half lengths over the rallying Carnivore and John Holmes. Favourite Eagle Luck and Mark Bradley rounded out the top three finishers.

Hughes' other winners included his maiden-breaking two-year-old filly Crystal Cruise ($5.60) in the opener; sophomore colt Stimulus Bill ($10.70) in the seventh race for trainer Darren Smith; 11-year-old Joshs Deal ($8.70) in the eighth race for trainer Nick MacGillivray; and four-year-old mare Block Party ($4.80) in the 10th for conditioner Darren Trainor.
