Trotter Cadillac Kid and pacer Lumberjack Willie pulled off a pair of narrow upset victories in the co-featured Preferred events to close out the card on Saturday night at Hiawatha Horse Park.

Sharon Dalke's Cadillac Kid ($16) first converted from the pocket to win the $7,000 Preferred 3 Trot in 1:57.2 by a quarter length over last week's winner Solo Victory before Rosemary Young's Lumberjack Willie ($18.60) rallied from off the pace in the matching pacing event to win a three-horse photo finish by a neck in 1:55.1.

Mark Pezzarello drove six-year-old gelding Cadillac Kid, trained by Rick Lake, to his sixth win of the season in 25 starts. He surpassed the $200,000 earnings mark with his 36th lifetime victory.

Lumberjack Willie, a winner of five races in 19 starts during his five-year-old campaign, was driven by Gene Piroski for trainer Todd Kennedy.
