On the day that the Quebec Court of Appeal holds a hearing with respect to the sale of Aylmer's racetrack, Trot Blogger Adam Mauntah takes a nostalgic look back on a piece of Canadian harness racing history
that's about to disappear.
Whether it's remembered as Connaught Park, or Hippodrome d'Aylmer or Sulky Gatineau, the track that once held the Canadian record for the fastest mile for an aged pacer over a half-mile track (Chatham Light - 1:53.3 - 1990) will likely never see another race.
