Sprinting for the lead from the pylon post, Ole Jack Magic slowed but then blew away from his competition to win the $9,500 Preferred 3 Trot at Georgian Downs on Tuesday (July 28).

Driver J Harris jetted the nine-year-old Kadabra gelding for the front, leading Ramas Last Son by three lengths past a :27.2 first quarter. Decelerating to a :57.2 half, Ole Jack Magic marched clear. He opened four lengths past three-quarters in 1:26.1 and widened his margin through the stretch to hit the finish 10 lengths in front of Ramas Last Son in a 1:54.3 mile. Kris Me Goodnight closed for third.

Owned and trained by Harold Wilson, Ole Jack Magic won his fourth race from 13 starts this season and his 33rd from 182 overall, earning $418,773. He paid $5.30 to win.
