Kawartha Downs hosted a Family/Kids’ Night on Saturday (July 27) and the event attracted one of the largest crowds of the year at the Peterborough-area oval.
The evening’s festivities featured a bouncy castle and petting zoo, and ‘Razberry the Clown’ provided face painting and balloon animals.
Music was provided by Music Hunter DJ Services. At one point, race fans joined in with the singing of Neil Diamond hit Sweet Caroline.
Brian Tropea from the Ontario Harness Horse Association will be visiting KD this coming Saturday. There will also be a couple of retired Standardbreds on site and fans will have the chance to steer a racehorse via ‘Wanna Drive.’
