Burning Blaze Back In The Spotlight

Running Aces’ Saturday evening (July 27) card featured Minnesota-sired three-year-old pacers that were split into a pair of $11,500 divisions.

After a Post 4 start, the Justin Anfinson-trained and Steve Wiseman-driven Burning Blaze ($17.20) came from fourth to record a two-length win in a mark-lowering 1:53.4. SB Bodacious finished second and Roman Treasure was third. Burning Blaze ($17.20) has won nine of his 18 career races and has now banked $73,220 in purses. He is owned by Alan and Cheryl Sandbulte and Edward Gutin.

The filly division was won by 1-9 favourite Windmeupnwatchmego. She once again turned in a dominating performance in 1:55.2 to score her sixth win from seven outings this year. She is owned by Richard Davelaar, trained by Gordon Graham, and was driven by Dean Magee. Sweet Vivian (Steve Wiseman) finished second and Trinitysfancyfilly was third.

Both winners are by Wind Me Up.

Wiseman dominated the Saturday card. He recorded three wins and two seconds from his seven trips to the gate.
