Veronica Fanning and Caitlin McDermott received their 2012 Standardbred Breeders & Owners Association of New Jersey College Scholarships in winner’s circle ceremonies after the second race on Friday, July 27 at Meadowlands Racetrack.
Fanning, 19, the daughter of Tom and Moira Fanning of Jackson, New Jersey, and McDermott, 17, the daughter of Kevin and Sheri McDermott of Millstone, New Jersey, each received $2,500.
Making the presentations were Chris Samaha of the Backstretch Community Assistance Program and SBOANJ Director Ed Razzetti.
