For the second consecutive season, Joe Faraldo has been invited to compete in an International Friendship Challenge in Taranto, Italy
. The races will be contested at Ippodromo Paola VI in Taranto in the province of Puglia on Thursday, July 29.
Faraldo, the president of the North American Amateur Drivers Association, had just returned to the states after accompanying Alan Schwartz to Paris, France for the World Cup of Amateur Racing. On Monday he winged his way to southern Italy.
Ten international amateur drivers will participate in the Friendship Challenge and Faraldo’s 131 career driving victories is second-best behind Sweden’s Roger Allerant’s 203.
