The New Brunswick Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association (NBSBOA) announced on Saturday that Dawn Bremner has accepted the interim presidency of the association.
Bremner has been a tireless worker for the industry and has served on the boards of the Maritime Provinces Harness Racing Commission (MPHRC), New Brunswick Horse Racing Industry Association (NBHRIA) and Horse Racing New Brunswick (HRNB).
The group announced that the annual meeting will be held August 24, 2013 at Saint John. The Maritimer, a co-sponsored event with Standardbred Canada now in its 19th year and part of the Maritimes Triple Crown for three-year-old pacing fillies, is being hosted the same day at Exhibition Park Raceway. Malabrigo, the 2012 champion, was a finalist in the O’Brien Awards.
