After an award-winning campaign in 2021, Fashion Frenzie was given a nice stretch of down time to prepare for his return to the racing wars in 2022. And in his first three starts of the season he’s been perfect.
Three starts this season have resulted in three wins for the prized trotter who hangs his harness bag in the stable of multiple O’Brien Award-winning trainer Richard Moreau.
The speedster took on five foes in Monday’s $33,000 Open Handicap Trot at
Louis-Philippe Roy hustled the four-year-old son of Archangel-Striking Fashion to the top from Post 6, and after slicing out fractions of :27.2, :55.4 and 1:23.4 the gelding rocketed home in :27.3 to post the win over Logan Park and Pikachu Hanover.
Sent off as the 1-5 favourite, Fashion Frenzie now owns a career record to 14-3-0 from 22 assignments in addition to a bankroll that stands at $778,435. Ecurie Francis Richard Inc, Mario Bourgea, Pierre Guillemette and Sylvain Richard share ownership on the start performer, who was originally purchased for a mere $7,000 as a yearling.

He swept the Daily Double with R Royal Port (1:55.1) and Only For Justice (1:54.2) and then clicked in the fourth race behind Cold Rage (1:56.2). Google My Chrome’s front-stepping score in 1:53.2 in Race 6 gave him the Grand Slam, and he capped off the big night at the office with a come-from-behind triumph in the final with Muscle Fashion (1:55.3).
