Traceur Hanover Continues To Prep

Traceur Hanover continued to prep for his 2016 season during Mohawk Racetrack’s Tuesday, July 26 qualifying session, as the four-year-old son of Western Ideal faced the starting gate for trainer Richard Moreau and driver Sylvain Filion.

Traceur Hanover took to the track for Race 1 and lined up in Post 5.

The career winner of six of 22 races and $437,548 in purses was all business during the session, as he recorded a gate-to-wire victory in 1:53.2. He cut the fractions in :27.3, :56 and 1:24.3 and sealed the deal with a :28.4 final quarter.

Traceur Hanover recorded a head victory over the pocket-sitter, Miss Coco Luck (who was driven by Doug McNair). Senior Market (Mike Whelan) finished more than seven lengths back in third.

Traceur Hanover, a bay horse, is owned by Richard Berthiaume, of Pointe-Aux-Trembles, Quebec.

The other victorious horses during the qualifying session were Kamikaze Lindy (1:57.1), Southwind Ion (1:56.4), Classical Son (1:58), Vijayscam (1:56), Cant U Spell (1:59.2), Maroma Beach (1:57.3) and Mrstery Bear (2:02.1)
