Grand River Raceway is still inviting donations of items for the Industry Day Garage Sale on August 1. All sales benefit the Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society.
The Garage Sale will be held in the Paddock Annex from 12:00 – 4:30 p.m.
Unique items currently in stock include:

Cam Fella print, numbered and signed by artist Fred Stone.

several new clothing items, including a vintage Little Brown Jug jacket, and a Kentucky Derby Authentic Turf t-shirt. The shirt is hand-dyed with genuine Kentucky Bluegrass, creating a one-of-a-kind item.

a dozen new Thoroughbred plush horses, including Seabiscuit and Barbaro – most from the Kentucky Derby Gift Shop.
Donations of horse-related and horse racing-related memorabilia, collectibles, and household items will be accepted until July 29. Call 519-846-5455 (Ext. 238) or email [email protected] to make arrangements for drop-off.
Examples of items which will be accepted:

household horse/horse racing items (ie – figurines, clocks, bookends, etc.)

framed horse/horse racing photos and art

harness racing trophies

horse racing collectibles

horse/horse racing books
Examples of items which will not be accepted:
-
magazines, race programs and catalogues, unless they are single copies with particular value (autographed, from a specific event, historical, etc.)

used horse racing equipment (unless of particular value [ie – famous horse’s shoes or bridle, etc.])
Industry Day festivities and the TV broadcast will kick off at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 1. Post time for the first dash is 1:30 p.m.
