Adrianna Mongrain prevailed in the inaugural Junior National Driving Championship, winning both her elimination and final on Saturday, July 25 at Clinton Raceway.
Driving Hidden Delilah, Mongrain bided her time outside of fellow first heat winner Lucas House (driving Cinnamon) and then eventually wore down that rival to win by open lengths. House finished second but was placed third, bumping Lucas Heffernan-Bailey (driving Celly) into the runner-up spot.

Jate Lilley and White Lightning were dominant victors in the Consolation final, besting Aleah Fudge (driving Lady Brave) followed by Owen Steward (aboard Lady) to round out the top trio.
Held as part of the 2026 National Driving Championship weekend, the Junior National Driving Championship showcased the next generation of Canadian harness racing talent as young drivers from across the country competed on Saturday morning.
The competition featured four junior drivers representing the Maritime Minis Racing Association and 12 competitors from the Ontario Young Guns Racing Association. Participants squared off in elimination heats, with the top performers advancing to the Championship Final to determine the inaugural Junior National Driving Champion.
In addition to the exciting on-track competition, Saturday's event celebrated youth participation in harness racing and highlighted the future of the sport by providing young competitors with a national stage to demonstrate their horsemanship and sportsmanship.
The morning's schedule included a special post parade, two qualifying heats, a Consolation Final, the Championship Final and the Inaugural Junior National Driving Championship awards presentation.
