It was a record setting Saturday night at Hazel Park Raceway in suburban Detroit, as leading driver Eric Carlson set the record for number of driving wins on a card with 10
.
The former record was held by Kevin Wallis, Eric Goodell, Mario Baillargeon, and Eric Carlson, who all had seven wins on one program. Carlson is the current leading driver at Hazel Park. He has 113 wins out of 397 starts at the current meet.
Carlson has been on fire over the last seven days with 30 wins out of 83 starts. That gives him a win percentage of 37 percent over the last week. He is 31 wins ahead of Brad Kramer, who has beaten Carlson by narrow margins in recent driver standings at Michigan tracks. Carlson has an in-the-money percentage of an astounding 55 percent, and has made more than $300,000 in purses at Hazel Park.
Carlson will be one of 11 drivers that will be signing autographs and greeting race fans as part of the "Back to the Track" promotion at Hazel Park on Saturday, Aug. 14.
