Morgans All In (Chris Long) made her first career appearance at Vernon Downs a winning one as she captured the $10,274 featured conditioned pace for fillies and mares on Thursday, July 24.

Morgans All In sat the pocket as Dizzy Lizzy (Ron Harp) went to the front and led through :27.1 and :57.1 first-half fractions. Won Surreal Deal (Brad Irvine) came first-over to challenge and had a short lead to three-quarters in 1:25, but Dizzy Lizzy reclaimed the lead as they straightened for home. Morgans All In ($8.80) came flying in deep-stretch and got there in time to beat Dizzy Lizzy by a neck in a lifetime-best 1:53.2. Won Surreal Deal finished third.

Morgans All In won for the third time in her past four starts as she took a trip to Vernon from her usual stomping grounds of Buffalo Raceway. The five-year-old mare by Rustys All In-Mystical Madison has now won 10 times in 79 career outings. Samuel Smith trains her for Mike Torcello.

Chris Long had a driving triple on the nine-race card. John MacDonald recorded a driving double.

Vernon Downs is set to hold its next card on Friday with a post time of 5:05 p.m.
