Power And Grace won back-to-back feature races at Grand River Raceway and her fourth win in a row on Monday (July 24) evening after winning the $11,000 Preferred 2 Winners Over Trot.
The only mare in the feature division, Power And Grace (Brett MacDonald) fronted her five gelding rivals through panels of :27.2, :57.2 and 1:26.2. Opening up on the field down the stretch, the Ronald MacDonald trainee collected her victory in 1:56.2 with a 3-1/2-length advantage. Serenity Cruise (Samuel Fillion) finished second and The Fixer (Garrett Rooney) rounded out the top three.
Power And Grace is owned by Hartel Maintenance Inc., Lormer McClure, Brett MacDonald and Reg Higgs. The eight-year-old Holiday Road mare earned her 51st career victory and moved her lifetime bankroll to $451,544 while paying $5 to win to her pari-mutuel supporters.
