Rock N Roll Legacy didn’t get much respect in Monday’s $7,500 Preferred 3 for horse and gelding pacers, and apparently he took offense to the pari-mutuel snub.

Sent off at 16-1, Rock N Roll Legacy rushed to grab the early lead from Post 7 before being overtaken going to the quarter pole by race favourite Beach Terror. The battled to the quarter in :27.2 before Beach Terror cleared and buzzed along on the lead through middle splits of :55.4 and 1:24.4. Rock N Roll Legacy got clearance in the lane and used a :29.3 closing quarter to post the win by 1-1/4 lengths over Beach Terror in 1:54.4. Taking home third prize was Big Yellow.

The six-year-old son of Rocknroll Hanover-Shanias Legacy, who was the seventh choice in the wagering, now boasts a 2-5-1 record from 16 starts this season. The 14-time winner has banked $109,451 to date.
