Woodstock Raceway’s top drivers, Brad Forward and Doug McNair, were winning races left, right and center in a heated battle for the top spot in the track’s standings on Saturday afternoon
.
Forward entered the card with a three-win lead over McNair and while McNair put on a good show collecting four victories, Forward was able to stay on top with his five-bagger.
McNair opened the card with two wins aboard Frozen In Love ($5.20) and Mjs Miss Chips ($4.70) before Forward struck for the first time with Moxy Seelster ($9.40) two races later.
McNair countered with two more victories to tie with Forward in rein to Princess Leah ($7.00) and No Teasing Me ($2.60), but Forward rolled out four consecutive wins in the final races to maintain his lead. Her won with Gunners Girl ($11.40), Boomersbestbet ($18.50), Regrets Pays Off ($6.20), and Ricky O Bay ($2.90).
Bruce Richardson drove the other three winners on the 12-race program.
