Four Starz Sue, with Howard Parker in the bike for trainer Carmine Fusco, left from post position #5 in a seven-horse field as a 9-2 shot, and he stayed back early before making a decisive three-wide move on the back stretch to take the lead away from Sailing Cruise. He continued strong to the line for the win by 1 3/4 lengths in 1:51:1. Sailing Cruise stayed on for second while Up Front George finished third.
The six-year-old gelding, owned by Four Starzzzz Stable LLC of Hauppauge, New York, won for the fourth time in 16 tries this year and the 23rd time in his career. With the winner’s share of the purse, Four Starz Sue has now earned over $407,000 in his career.
