Spiritofanoutlaw Dominates In Aces Open Tuesday

Spiritofanoutlaw was the talk of the tote board in the $16,096 Open II Pace on Tuesday, July 22 at Running Aces, and the 2-5 choice delivered in the featured event.

Trainer/driver Brady Jenson got away sharply with Spiritofanoutlaw from the inside post and secured the pocket while 16-1 longshot Im A Skoldier (Josiah Miller) went to the front from post seven and posted solid early fractions of :27.3 and :56.3 while Love Your Work A (Brian Detgen) made an early outside bid and Unfiltered (Aaron Lehman) followed his cover.

Love Your Work A provided heavy pressure to the leader during the middle stages but could not clear to the front and Im A Skoldier had the field stacked up behind him as they registered 1:24.1 for three-panels.

In the lane Jenson dove into the passing lane with Spiritofanoutlaw he exploded with pace, drawing away in the final yards to post a 2-1/4 length tally in 1:52.3 while stablemate PD The Big Easy (Brandon Jenson) flew home from the back of the pack to nose out Im A Skoldier for second at 53-1.

The winner, a five-year-old son of Western Trademark, is also owned by Jenson. He now shows five wins and $78,132 in earnings this season, finishing in the top two in all eight of his 2025 local appearances. He returned $2.80 to win.

Brady Jenson led the program with a driving and training double while Maria Alvarez also posted a training double.

Live harness racing returns to Running Aces on Thursday, July 24 for a 12-race program that will get underway at 6 p.m. (CDT).
