Panacotta journeyed first over to defeat the top pacers at Inverness Raceway on Sunday afternoon.

With Neil MacInnis in the sulky, the seven-year-old son of No Pan Intended wore down the pacesetting Truth Or Dare and Ryan Campbell to capture the $1,100 Winners Over Pace by a quarter length in 1:59.2. Favourite Art I Special finished two and a half lengths behind in third for four-time winning reinsman Mark MacQuarrie.

Panacotta paid $8.30 to win for the third time in nine seasonal starts. The bay gelding is owned and trained by Frank MacInnis of Creignish, N.S.
