See You At Peelers, seven-for-seven this season, landed outside of her six rivals in $46,826 fifth (final) division, going as the 10th race.
'Peelers,' a daughter of Bettors Delight, returns to Westchester for the first time since berating the boys in June's $307,734 Art Rooney Pace. It's her first downstate sire stakes appearance of the season, and her first start since winning the $127,000 Tarport Hap at the Meadowlands on July16. See You At Peelers, with more than $1.2 million in lifetime loot, is trained by Jimmy Takter for co-owners (breeder) Christina Takter, Jim and John Fielding. Marcus Johansson, who drove 'Peelers' to her convincing Rooney victory, gets a Rye reunion tour.
Thursday night's card also includes the $255,213 New York Sire Stakes Mike Cohen Trot, comprised of seven divisions (including four off the card) for frosh fillies. The race again honours the memory of the publicity director for both Yonkers and NBC Sports.
Yonkers' regular five-night-per-week schedule (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday) remains in effect. First post for all racing programs is 7:10 p.m. Evening simulcasting accompanies all live programs, with afternoon simulcasting available around the NYRA schedule.
