The Tattersalls 2009 July Mixed Sale took place yesterday at the Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford, New Jersey with Blue Boy, a four-year-old Real Artist gelding, fetching the highest price

Blue Boy, a career winner of 17 of 58 starts and $228,501, was Hip #122, which brought $165,000. The gelding was purchased by Randy Zane of Lachine, Que. From 21 starts this season, Blue Boy has compiled a record of 10-6-0 from 21 starts, good for over $195,000 in purses.
Six-year-old Cams Card Shark bay Toucam Sam (Hip #158) was the second-highest priced entrant to sell, as Duane Marfisi -- who was acting as agent -- picked up the career winner of 20 races for $115,000. The horse has banked $437,831 in earnings in his 101-race career.
Three-year-old Cams Card Shark colt Pair A Dice (Hip #77) brought the third-highest price, as Angelo Frassetto of Upper Saddle River, New Jersey picked up the bay for $110,000. The colt has won five of his 14 career starts and had competed in the $1 million Meadowlands Pace the night before the sale.
