It will be another exciting week of Atlantic Sires Stakes harness racing action, as both Northside Downs and Fredericton racetracks play host to some of the best young horses in the Maritimes.
The two and three-year-old trotters will meet for competition at Northside Downs on Tuesday, July 21. Two divisions of two-year-olds will each go for a purse of $5,220. Meanwhile, the three-year-olds will also go in two divisions for $5,300. First race post time on Tuesday is 4:00 p.m. Click here to view the entries.
Two-year-old pacing colts and fillies will then highlight the race card at Fredericton Raceway on Wednesday, July 22. The colts will go in two divisions for a substantial purse pool of $12,840 and the fillies will go in two divisions for $13,000 each. First race post time on Wednesday is 7:00 p.m.
Atlantic Sires Stakes action will return to Northside Downs on Saturday, July 25, when the three-year-old pacing fillies meet at the North Sydney oval.
Points earned in Atlantic Sires Stakes 'A' division and trot events go towards earning a spot in the season-ending Atlantic Breeders Crown Championship weekend, which will take place on Prince Edward Island in October.
