Hanover Raceway has shared the details of its race day named in honour of O'Brien Award-winning driver and Canada's 2023 World Driving Championship representative, Doug McNair.
Hanover Raceway would like to extend a heartfelt invitation to all for an extraordinary public event that promises to be a day filled with joy, entertainment and shared experiences. Save the date for Saturday, July 29 as the Hanover community will come together to celebrate Doug McNair Day!
Post time will be 1:30 p.m., with McNair in attendance for the first six races. Among the day's festivities is a meet, greet and 2023 World Driving Championship poster signing with McNair himself.
There will also be a 50/50 draw and a second draw that will provide one lucky winner a chance to win a $500 grocery certificate with all proceeds from both draws being donated to the local Saugeen Hospice, which is dear to the McNair family.
McNair, who has childhood ties to the Hanover racing community, launched his driving career in 2008 and now has 4,371 wins while his mounts have earned more than $77.8 million in purses.
