High-level trotter Eurobond topped Sunday's (July 18) Tattersalls Summer Mixed Sale at The Meadowlands as one of two horses to attract six-figure bids.

Eurobond, who most recently reeled off four consecutive wins against Open company at Plainridge Park, attracted a $205,000 bid from Matt Morrison, of Indiana, Pa. The six-year-old Love You entire won the Kentucky Sire Stakes final as a three-year-old among his 17 career wins to date for his former owners, Robert Rudolph and breeder Lindy Farms of Connecticut.

The most expensive pacer to pass through the sales ring was The Greek Freak, a four-year-old Captaintreacherous gelding for whom Gino Toscani, of Mount Hope, Ont., paid $165,000. As a three-year-old, The Greek Freak won four of 16 races under the care of trainer Ron Burke, including two Pennsylvania Sire Stakes preliminaries and his Adios elimination.

Tango Dancer N, who has raced exclusively for trainer Kelvin Harrison since arriving in North America in the fall of 2019, sold to Adriano Sorella, of Guelph, Ont., for $95,000 — the highest bid attracted by a filly or mare all afternoon. The six-year-old A Rocknroll Dance mare won once in her native New Zealand before amassing 14 wins in the United States, primarily in mid-level conditioned races.

A total of 78 horses changed hands for a combined $2,704,500, resulting in an average purchase price of $34,673.
