After making his driving debut over the weekend, Andrew MacLean spent little time in making his first appearance in the winner's circle.
MacLean cruised to victory in the first race at Inverness Raceway on Wednesday and can now cross a very special milestone off his bucket list.
Sending Moe Onthe Go to command from the rail, MacLean refused to relinquish the lead, scoring a three-length victory in 2:05.3. The eight-year-old Aces n Sevens mare paid $4.70 to win over a fast track.
Based in Inverness, N.S., the 36-year-old MacLean co-owns the mare with his father, Lloyd.
