Apex is still No. 1 in the Week 11 edition of the "Road to the Hambletonian" off his Stanley Dancer Memorial win this past Saturday, July 11 at The Meadowlands.
“He’s feeling better every week," commented the Dan Patch Award winner's trainer, Marcus Melander. "I don’t want to peak him too early, and I think he’ll go straight to the Hambletonian eliminations.”
Both American Power and It Could Be Worse moved up this week in the Hambletonian rankings after second-place finishes in their Dancer divisions.
The Top 10 rankings are compiled by Meadowlands Racetrack's Ken Warkentin each week leading up to the 101st Hambletonian (Grade 1), which will take place on Saturday, Aug. 8 at The Meadowlands.
