Hanover Preferred To Dereks Devil

Dereks Devil was over five lengths the best in winning the featured $10,000 Preferred 2 Pace on Wednesday

night at Hanover Raceway.

With Anthony Haughan along for the ride, the 4-1 third choice left from Post 2 and led the eight-horse field through fractions of :27, :56.4 and 1:25.3 before stopping the clock in 1:54.4. Cams Best Bet (Dave Boughton) and Eye Of Desire (Scott Young) finished second and third.

Trained by Alan Fair for owners and breeders Cloah Fair and Laurie Comley of Ancaster, ON, Dereks Devil earned his third win in 24 starts this season pushing his earnings to $33,206. The five-year-old gelded son of Cammibest-Misty Grey now sports 13 wins on his resume with over $120,000 in lifetime earnings.
