The state's glamour boy division made its second downstate appearance Monday, July 13, as Yonkers Raceway hosted the New York Sire Stakes' Bruce Hamilton Pace for three-year-old colts and geldings.
Four $54,313 divisions went postward.
After Hay Goodlooking (driven by Gates Brunet) and Handsome Harry (Jason Bartlett) won the non-wagering divisions, the sun went down and both My Last Laugh (Ray Schnittker) and OK Braveheart (Jordan Stratton) led their legions.
My Last Laugh found his way into the sire stakes win column, taking Monday night's third Hamilton division in down-the-road fashion.
The Sealed N Delivered colt left from Post 2 as the post time choice and went on to record a life-best 1:54.1 mile. The colt defeated Arts Jimmy Ray (Jordan Stratton) by two and a quarter lengths. Diamond Stick Pin (Howard Okusko, Jr.) finished third.
Trained by Ray Schnittker, My Last Laugh returned $4.60 to win in what the colt's second win in six seasonal starts.
Bettors Delight son OK Braveheart also went the wire-to-wire route, completing his odds-on work night in 1:54.4.
